How Scavangeler works

What is Scavangeler?

A GPS-powered scavenger hunt you can run anywhere — for tourism, trade shows, festivals, team events, classrooms, weddings, or birthday parties. You design the route; players race through it on their phones.

What's a spot?

A spot is one stop in your hunt — a real-world location with GPS coordinates, a clue, and a reference photo of the thing players need to find and snap. Each hunt has 6–12 spots delivered in randomized order.

How do players join?

No signup required. Players open the join page on their phone, type the 6-character join code you share, pick a nickname, and start playing.

How many can play?

As many as you like. You can optionally cap concurrent players (e.g. 50 at a time for a busy festival booth) — leave it blank for unlimited.

What happens when they find a spot?

Players take a photo at the location. Scavangeler verifies they're physically close to the spot and that the photo matches your reference, then reveals an animated charm as a reward and unlocks the next clue.

Pricing: Your first hunt is free. Publishing each additional hunt costs $9.99 — pay only when you're ready to share the join code.
